I'm very partial to a Minmatar BC that has a Speed and missle ROF bonuss. Give it 6 launchers and enough lows for a moderatly reasonable armor tank and I think you would have one hell of a ship once the new assault missles go live.

I figured that missles complement a fast ship more than turrets as you would not have to worry about tracking. None the less I see your reasoning and chances are it will probably be an AC boat.

I too like many others worry about how powerfull the Drake will be with the new assault launchers, 7 missle hardpoints, and a rof bonus. I think combining all these things will result in a ship that can do amazing amounts of damage w/o having to worry about cap and tracking. For the drake to be ballanced I think that the assault launchers should require at least 150 grid to prevent the ship from being able to run a large tank while fielding 7 of these launchers.

I think this will hold true for most all of the tier 1 BC if the prelim stats are to go live. 2 extra slots and more hp is enough reason alone to stop flying the tier 1s. I hope that the new BCs do not phase out the old ones as replacing existing content with new content is not the most fantastic idea imo.
I'd like to see the new BCs get at the very most 1 more slot over the tier 1s or simply add another slot to the tier 1s so that they have the same number of slots as the cyclone.

I strongly disagree with this for two reason. First and formost being that BCs should be vulnerable to BS fire, the BS is and should remain the Achilles heel of the BC class. Second being that the BCs job is to wtfbbq cruisers, giving them a bonus that is oriented around movment instead of directly increasing combat performance is a bad idea imo.
I do strongly think that BC agility needs to be increased by a great deal and luckily it is looking like such a change will be going live. I do not think that BCs should recieve a reduction to sig radius as many people have suggested for the primary reason I listed above, BCs should be vulnerable to BS fire.
I have a rather large issue with the maximum velocity that BCs can achieve. Currently do to the fact that they use underpowered cruiser propulsion modules most Battleships are faster and accelerate faster than BCs. I do not think that this issue is game breaking however it does deviate from the concept of a Battle Cruiser (yea yea this game is not WWII, I know). I think the solution is to implement a hidden bonus much like stealth bombers have. This bonus should increase thrust generated by propulsion devices by 50% allowing them to truly gain a speed advantage over Battle Ships.
